Fabulous museum. We had thought we ordered audio guides, but were not available or I messed up the order. Thank you. Our trip to Pompeii today was so much more enjoyable having visited the museum yesterday.
The museum is incredible with a wealth of exhibits, especially on Pompeii. We went to the museum and the next day we went to Pompeii, which was a huge success because we could connect all the dots. It's quite big, I had 2 hours to visit it and it wasn't much. I feel that the ideal time to see it is at least 3 hours.

I'd have to rethink the organization to get my tickets, knowing that I'd already paid on the Internet. I had to wait 45 minutes in line and I don't think that's right. The site is clean and pleasant.

We were there to see the items from Pompeii. The map was difficult to navigate and find the Pompeii exhibits. We enjoyed the things we saw, but had limited time, and didn't really see all the Pompeii items.
Great artifacts from Pompeii. I did not have time to actually go to Pompeii during my visit, so the museum was a wonderful alternative.
I bought vouchers for tickets for Pompeii online via headout and had already paid, but this does not count as an online ticket at the entrance. So I had to queue up and "collect" my ticket. I don't understand that, it could be made easier.

We were a group of friends and we are Si lucky that one of us is arthistorian specialist do we very much enjoied everything we saw and with his knowledge it was even more interesting The ART snd the history in this museum is incredible and we could have spent much more time there. We will come back next time in Naples. Thanks
It was so memorable because we were going to visit Pompeii the next day. We should have really visited the museum afterwards but as our Pompeii tickets were booked for the day after we couldn't do anything about it. However our experience at the museum (one of the party had been before) was fantastic. The exhibits were wonderful. The museum was so clean and well looked after. We also had a drink and something to eat in the cafeteria which was so good and the staff were so nice and couldn't do enough for you. All in all - oh and the shop was fantastic - a top experience. Thank you
Very easy entry and return visit. Very helpful staff at front desk and great coffee and food at the cafe. Beautiful gardens when a break was needed.
It is an absolutely awesome museum and the perfect way to follow up my visit to Pompeii and Herculaneum. It's easy to get to from Sorrento using the express train and metro, and it has a nice cafe for a rest when you're feet can't take any more!
The artifacts from Pompeii were fabulous. There is a lot to see and getting tickets in advance meant no waiting in line on a national holiday.
We did a self guided visit of about 3 hours using a guide book by Rick Steves. The size and condition of the collection is incredible.
The Vesuvian exhibits were fantastic. A must see experience alongside a visit to Pompeii. The museum itself is also a beautiful place to visit with tranquil courtyards.
This museum was recommended by the guide that showed us Herculaneum. I'm not sure if we saw everything, but there were many areas of interest in what we did visit. Some amazing sculptures were the highlight.
Few people there. so we could move around easily. They made me store my large purse, calling it a backpack. I saw other people with backpacks.
Knowing that so many of the Pompeii/Herculaneum artifacts are housed in tge National Archaeological Museum, we decided to visit there the day before our tours to the two sites. We only had a precious 3 hours to visit on our way to our hotel in Salerno- using Headout allowed us to get our tickets in advance for the exact period we needed with no time wasted standing in line. Our guide was waiting for us & did a wonderful job of condensing the tour within our time limits! Highly recommend this service!

It arrived promptly by email I wasn't however aware that in addition to the tour I would have to buy an entrance ticket. This I feel should have been made clearer The tour leader was very helpful and knowledgeable and made our visit to the museum more enjoyable
The tour guide, Maria, was awesome. I highly recommend this tour for anyone that wants to learn about ancient Italian history. She was amazing. We completely enjoyed the tour.
Our ticketing experience was good, especially since it was a bit last minute. The Naples Archeological Museum was amazing and Adella did an excellant job conveying stories and the history of the artifacts. Pompeii finnally came out of a book for us. We always get so much more out of the experience when we explore with a local instead of doing a self guided tour. Thank you!
Maria was a phenomenal tour guide, explaining the meaning and history behind the various statues, paintings, and frescoes. I booked this inside three days, and was glad I did! I spent an additional two hours after the tour, so the included entry fee was well worth it.
Easy to find the guide Punctual The knowledge of the guide. Didactically very good; directly get to the essence Pleasant to listen to. The guide adds value to what you see
Our guide understood we were all exhausted as the tour was at 3pm and it was Italian Independece day adxwehadall been walking heaps. . She explained the history well and took us to the most meaningful things relating to Pompeii and Herculaneum. Very informative and interesting. She did an excellent job!
A very knowledgeable young archaeologist who guided us very skilfully around the huge array of exhibits, giving us invaluable background information on each item. Well worth the money.

We loved the scenery from the route that was taken. We didn't like that we were not informed about a marathon disrupting the timetable, making us wait for 2 hours at the bus stop. We also received the email with the tickets 3 days late.

The tour has two lines and the ticket covers both. One scenic tour (B) along the coast and another (B) which covers the historic heart of the city. We were able to see the city in comfort. Enjoyed it very much.
The ticket agent was very kind and understanding as we got situated on the bus. It was Sunday and the busses were full, we had to wait for a second bus before there was enough room. There doesn't seem to be a Stop # 4 so we waited for Stop #5 and walked back to the museum.

The experience was great, both line A and B have their charm, line A passes through the historic center and the city, line B is longer than 1 hour long and shows you the coast of Naples where you can take some great pictures, I highly recommend it especially because it explains everything through headphones and if you have little time to see the city it is very good.

I loved the ride - the bus helped me to navigate the city and discover new things I otherwise wouldn't have. The coastal route was just fantastico.
The best thing about this tour is that you can get off at any stop in the area you are interested in, see interesting places that are not visible from the bus and feel the atmosphere on the spot, then come back to the stop and continue your adventure 🍋 We spent the whole day on this excursion, taking both the A and B routes with our tickets 👍🏻 The ticket was easily purchased on the app, but you can also easily buy it at the start/finish station.

Your signage at stops need to be bigger. Went to stop number 9 only to find out that stop number 2 was up the road and we missed both buses and then had to wait another 30 minutes for the next one.
We went fresh and saw all of Naples. Maybe the explanations could have been more interesting and advise certain stops with typical places or good places to eat.

The ticket, bought in advance through Headout, not only did not allow us to pass in front of others, but we acquired it by standing in line at the ticket office, and if we had bought it there it would have cost less. Fortunately, there were not so many people, and Pompeii's excavations are outstanding....

I entered quickly and the place is very moving. I toured it on my own and it was inevitable to be shocked to imagine what life and society would be like at that time.

Having studied the subject a priori and seeing it in reality was an intense experience, the ancient roadway with carriage marks, the spaces of the house where you can recognize the structure of the Roman domus, recognize kitchens and bakeries ... and the bodies in their last postures. An unforgettable experience!

Move freely around the city Experience it for ourselves Move above the excavations and watch them progress However, orientation is difficult. There are no properly signposted street names. Some exits are not indicated on the signs. Very average reception at the entrance. The person seemed annoyed that we had gone through headout and had to speak English, which she didn't master.

Amazing place, incredible to see the buildings and the art. Be prepared for walking. Not much point going without an audioguide or a real guide unless you know it very well
I appreciate how simple it was to buy tickets from your website . It was easy to download your app and to use it offline at the gate . It made the process soooooooo much easier . Our trip to Pompei was incredible . We had perfect weather and it was a day we will never forget .
We really enjoyed the excavations! The problem we had with the audio was that it was a cell phone. This meant that when I wanted to take photos with my cell phone, I always had two cell phones in my hand, which was very inconvenient! At some point we stopped using the audio. We really could have saved ourselves the money. I had imagined that the audio would have been in the form of headphones, which would have simplified things (including the settings).

All very good, but to enter Pompeii we had to queue, as those who did not have tickets, to exchange the tickets despite having paid for them online.

Everything is awesome.. I've like to visit again. My suggestions is to place a exact direction to where to park and the ruins are, it's so confusing as to where to go .
The experience itself was amazing, however the staff at the ticket counter was unhelpful, even can't direct to a car park
The speed of access to both archaeological parks. Two spectacular sites, in the case of Pompeii it is so big that in one day it is impossible to see everything. On our next visit we will complete the part we missed! Thank you very much

The mix between ancient ruins and so many green placee. I loved the trees, the grass flowers and how some of the houses had an internal garden full of fauna.
The place was easy to find and as we were traveling on a Wednesday in November, there was no line at all. Tickets were easy to receive with the booking number, no problems at all. :)
The site is impressive in its size and state of preservation. In my opinion, for visitors who have not taken the guided tour or audio commentary, explanatory signage is lacking. It's very important to choose the right ticket for the right visit.

Pompeii is stupendous. It took a while to collect our tickets, however the process was simple enough and once we were in we had a wonderful time.
Zooming in was very limited... Staff did not know how to access the additional information on the audio guide. Symbols like clay jugs or the fugitives are too small.

Everything fell into place. I appreciated online and no wait to let purchase in advance. The app worked well. Unfortunately, I couldn't stay that long. I'll be back.
a bit strange if you buy a ticket online, to have to go to a ticket office where the employee has to encode the reservation number as well as the family name ... fortunately there wasn't a line of 1,000 people in front of us that day!

The purchase of the ticket was easy, the price was somewhat high and I would have liked it to be delivered with a map/brochure explaining the ruins.

I was very surprised as I didn't think it was for me at all.But it was fantastic and a really good experience. I think the way you work with excavation is both exciting and respectful, and I really appreciate that. This is not the last time I visit Pompeii :-)
I hadn't understood that the ticket had to be exchanged on the spot, but that's just a detail. On the other hand, I was totally unaware that the Herculaneum site closed that day at 3:30 pm, so I wasn't able to visit the site. It's a pity that no one advises you to visit it first, knowing that it closes earlier. I paid for a combo ticket unnecessarily.

Arrive early to avoid the crowds... the site is smaller and more intimate than Pompei. Superb conservation/restoration work. Small museum next door for a glimpse of everyday objects... perfect audio guide!

Ordered tickets in advance as on a time schedule and wanted to avoid queues. Was worried about a lot of negative comments about website on line, but these were completely unfounded. Even had an email day before ticket booking to alert me to new opening hours for Herculaneum.
It was easy to book tickets in advance which meant we didn't have to queue. We were able to leave our backpack in a locker for free. The site is small enough for children to manage to get around. Very interesting visit and amazed to see so much preserved history. It felt very sad, though, as it is essentially a large burial ground. Was able to get key info online. A map would have helped which I might have got had I bought tickets locally. I didn't get the audio guide as very expensive and new my 9yo son wouldn't have the patience to listen to it.
Tickets initially only avaialable through the app but sent to me as PDF when requested. Easy to use at the site and Herculaneum itself was fantastic - a fascinating site, well worth the visit. Many thanks for enabling the experience.

I loved the history! I bought the skip the line ticket which was easy to use . Parking right next to the site. I liked it better than Pompeii You can get audio if you like Took about 3 hours great experience!!
Having visited Pompeii and Herculaneum it was amazing to see the exhibits in the Museo that came from those sites. Ticketing was straightforward with no queues.
Amazing place, so much history and is fairly well documented, food choice on site is poor though with only vending machines available. Easy to book.
Apart from the place, which is why we went. The surprise was the kindness and attention of the people who attended us, both in the access and in the audio guide that we got confused and did not have the right entrance, as in one of the people who looked after one of the domus.

It was not made at all clear that to open a ticket you need the Headput app. This took 60 mins to download at the location. 60 minutes in Herculaneum waiting for an app I had no indication I'd need. Make this pjs in in future is my advice
Ticketing very good but when we got to Pompeii it was quite chaotic. It didn't seem to matter what time you booked for, and seemed to be a general free-for-all! No complaints about your end of things, I just think they need to get their act together when processing people arriving. The tour was excellent and we had a really good guide!
Easy access from the metro. Free lockers. Loved the large area to take in views from above. Grounds weren't too massive, easy to cover and enjoy in a reasonable amount of time.
Tickets were easy to purchase and use upon arrival. Staff were polite. Herculaneum was clean, easy to navigate, and incredibly well preserved. If have kids, or just don't feel up to wandering Pompeii in the summer heat, Herculaneum is smaller and arguably more beautiful.
Very simple to access the site, well sign posted, staff were very helpful. So interesting to be able to interact and walk around so closely to all of the historic ruins.

The convenience of having the dematerialized card on your phone is great, but it doesn't work when there's no Internet connection. Which is the case in metro corridors, and it's impossible to take a screenshot. But very interesting for visiting the main museums and getting around without worrying about tickets once you've found the right organization. I recommend

Once the purchase is made, the Card is complicated to unlock. The app is not very intuitive for registration. Despite everything, the people at the tourist office are reactive in the event of a problem. The card works well in museums, but the code is not read by the machines in public transport. As a result, you always have to ask the local ticket inspector to let you through, which he always does willingly. Useful if you're sure you want to visit a few museums.

Easy to use and good value for site entry and getting around. Got on train from Sorrento to Herculaneum not knowing it only stopped a few times a day. Went through to Naples and easily caught the train to Herculaneum without extra cost or trouble. 😂
Great once I got the cards but there was a problem getting them activated (technical at Artecarc!) , I had to email several times and eventually telephone a couple of times, quite stressful on holiday!
I am basically an IT dinosaur and did not find the experience of using the Artecard easy, especially as the signal to my phone when we were in Italy was, at best, problematical. However Headout staff were most helpful when I contacted them.
Cost saving was the best thing. Using the card for travel was confusing, since you couldn't scan anything, but they would usually let you in for free if you mentioned the card. Head out was ok, helpful with setting up the app.
You can find a rich collection of Greek and Roman sculptures that have been collected from excavations at Pompeii, Herculaneum and other archaeological sites near Mount Vesuvius.
