The place is extraordinary. Pick-up for the guided tour was easy. Went first thing in the morning, 0900. The crowds were negligible. It wasn't empty, but it was easy to take good pictures and get close to the things you wanted to see. Our guide was amazing. She managed to keep my five years old interested throughout, even to the point that he got upset his ear piece kept falling out. That my only critique, and not of this tour or the guide. The head phones provided is a single ear piece without foam or rubber to help hold it in place. It's like the original ear bud and those aren't very one-size fits all. Bring your own head phones for anyone under 12 or so.

We had a mix up with the day of our visit, we thought it was a day later. They called us to let us know we were wrong. They moved our visit an hour later, they waited for us, because we were late arriving from Naples. The guide, Humberto, a Number One!!!!! He gave us the tour of Pompeii, totally great. We learned a lot, super nice and friendly, and very informative and knowledgeable about the city. We loved Pompeii. We thank you !!!!!!!

Bit confusing understanding where to get the tickets finding out the ticket office and meeting point was upstairs. Maybe for improvement a better sign saying pre-booked tickets and tour meeting point upstairs? We also had to start the tour with a walk to another place to get our headphones, that ended up not working anyway and wasting time during the tour doing this. Maybe there is a way of getting the headphones when getting the tickets? It was annoying that we waited for two couples (4 people) to join in the tour lat, while it had already started and we where walking close to or inside the site. It took about 20 min from the tour. The biggest issue though was that serveral of the headphones broke down for people, around 6 people or something, including me during the tour. The guide had run out of spares and the end. Besides this - the guide was very professional, talked slow and clear and the information she delivered was great!

Really fascinating tour of underground passages and spaces beneath Naples, with entertaining and informative guide. Some passages a pretty tight (speaking as a 6'3 person) but managable. There are also more easily navigable options for people who need/prefer them. Went with kids (7, 12 and 14) and they found it absorbing and fun. Can sometimes be a bit hard to hear with echos/noise from other groups, but only occasionally. Ordering tickets through Headout was straightforward - we arrived at the entrance about 15min early which made checking details etc easy - looked a bit hectic for those who arrived in the last 5min or so, with multiple tours starting. Very friendly staff and guides - grazie!

The best thing about this tour is that you can get off at any stop in the area you are interested in, see interesting places that are not visible from the bus and feel the atmosphere on the spot, then come back to the stop and continue your adventure 🍋 We spent the whole day on this excursion, taking both the A and B routes with our tickets 👍🏻 The ticket was easily purchased on the app, but you can also easily buy it at the start/finish station.

I used this service for the first time in Naples, the ticket indicates 24 hours validity but it doesn't, the rides go from about 9 am to 5:10 pm so the ticket is valid during those times and stop, having said that the service was good, unfortunately the lines don't cross except at the end of the line, it's a good way to get a dusting of the city, obviously you can't make every stop and visit everything properly. Audio guide nice, not too detailed, background with Neapolitan songs, I recommend doing more than one tour per line since the audio guide is not always in chrono with the route so it often happened that the guide was talking about a monument already passed (for a few meters) but that anyway we had not been able to see.

Not really much to see. No "open top" because it was closed all the way 😢. With the you closed even when the weather's nice, you can't see much. Quite disappointing overall. One of the worst Up on, Up off ever. Several passengers asked the attendant to open the roof and she curtly replied No, without looking at you and without saying why. Some employees could do with a refresher course!

The tour itself was incredible and the guide was wonderful! The entrance personnel seemed very upset that we were there and mentioned that they hate Americans, that was upsetting because we were very happy and friendly. But, we had to let that go and just enjoy the day! The narrow passages were longer than I thought, but it was worth it to see the beautiful underground rooms. Although we had many problems to arrive at the agreed time due to strikes and train breakdowns. They were attentive to wait for us and to attend us with kindness and patience. Roberta was a very good professional, enthusiastic and cordial at all times.

It was great, the guide was amusing and full of information that you would never be able to get from an audioguide or book. We saw all the highlights and he explained everything about how the town was buried, how it was excavated and what happened to everyone. I would highly recommend doing this guided tour and the guide was amazing.

Luciano Leone was a brilliant tour guide, incredibly knowledgeable. My family and I were super impressed and really really enjoyed our visit to herculaneum because of this tour. I would definitely recommend the tour as you learn so much about the place, things that you would completely miss without the guided tour- lots of hidden gems! Luciano talked a brilliant amount and his personality and humour shone through, which made the experience.

it was very good, our guide francesco was very sympathetic and fascinating by meeting anecdotes. The children really enjoyed the tour, which was much more interesting and lively than on our own. We were also able to stay a long time afterwards to enjoy other sights that we hadn't been able to see on the tour. We recommend this tour.

I would recommend 10/10! Our archeologist tour guide, Luciano Leone, was amazing! It's obvious he is passionate about his work, provides valuable insight and has a witty personality. Getting to actually walk in the actual places that people walked 2000 years ago was simply astounding.

Easy to book at short notice online for the same day. We really enjoyed the archaeological site of Herculean and there was so much still intact and preserved. The only issue we had was our guide spoke too fast especially at the start of the tour that it was hard to understand him really has to concertrate. He kept apologising for his English it was better when he talked slower.

I booked a tour with a sample group and turned out yo be 20+ where we had to carry headsets to even hear the guide. Herculaneum is beautiful but we had hoped for a much more intimate personal experience

Very knowledgeable and involved guide Explanations are necessary because Pompeii has very few complete buildings - all the roofs have collapsed. The site is huge and crowded - 3.5 million visitors a year!

The tour of Herculaneum was brilliant and the guide, Danilo, was very knowledgeable. My only gripe may have been my own fault. I followed the directions in the email, thinking that was to the meeting point, wrong, it was to the backdoor of the Archeology Unit. On re-reading the email I found a second set of directions to the meeting point. My wife was not impressed with my navigating.

You should mention more clearly that partial cancellation is not possible. Due to that in the future I will buy my tickets from GetYourGuide which has that option.

The guide was passionate about the remains. He obviously knew a lot about it. It wasn't a jump the queue though as the tickets to get in that day were free!! We arrived early and had a walk around before our tour. Some of his pronouns made me wonder if he was an archaeologist though.

We had a wonderful guided tour of Herculaneum with our archeologist guide Nicoletta. The level of detail and information provided was excellent while also being entertaining and funny. Nicoletta chose perfect spots to stop and speak while allowing a good amount of time to take in the area and take photos. We would highly recommend this tour and are very grateful to our guide.
